Brenda Prickett

Brenda Cheryl Prickett, 56, of Gering, Nebraska, passed peacefully in her sleep on July 17, 2022. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held the afternoon of Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Oregon Trail Park in Gering, Nebraska. Brenda was born August 19, 1965, in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. She was the daughter of Howard Keith Sr. and Helen Janice (Mobley) Prickett. She graduated from Gering High School in 1983 and later attended Western Nebraska Community College.

She devoted her working life to caring for others. Brenda worked at many nursing homes locally and in Georgia. She was also employed at Regional West Medical Center. She was sad when her health conditions forced her to stop doing what she loved.

Brenda is survived by her father, Howard Keith Prickett Sr. of Mitchell, Nebraska; sister, Lynn (Dan) Bailey of Castle Rock, Colorado; and brother, Keith (Kathy) Prickett Jr. of Mitchell, Nebraska. She is also survived by her nephews, Quentin (Samantha) Gibb of Liberty Lake, Washington, TJ Prickett of Chandler, Arizona, and Michael (Alisha) Barfield of Adel, Georgia; nieces, Katy (Kyle) Fody of Lingle, Wyoming and Mindy (Mike) Anderson of Wakefield, Kansas; and her nephew-in-law, Dustin Fankhauser of Gering, Nebraska; along with seven great nephews and eight great nieces.

Her mother, Jan Prickett; and her niece, Valorie Fankhauser, preceded her in death.
