Dixie L. Baldwin

Dixie L. Baldwin, 84, of LaGrange, Wyoming, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes and no services are scheduled currently. Memorials may be made to the Dixon Senior Center, 408 Boxelder, Dixon, Wyoming 82323 or to Carbon County Senior Services, 340 Whippoorwill Drive, Baggs, Wyoming 82321. Dixie was born February 22, 1940, in Baggs, Wyoming to Everett and Leola (Guy) Orchard. She attended high school and received her GED. She went on to begin her lifetime career in the hospitality industry.

She was a member of the River Grace Church in Baggs and recently attended local churches in the LaGrange area.

Dixie enjoyed crafting, tending to her beautiful flower gardens, cooking, and entertaining friends. Much of her life was spent in Arizona where she and her husband, Larry Baldwin, owned and operated a roping arena and RV Park during the winter months. Summer months were spent in the Dixon/Baggs area until 2017 when she moved to LaGrange.

Survivors include her son, Bill (June) Lake; daughters, Bobbi Sue (Steve) Jowell and Jolene Bugg (Glenn Reinick); grandchildren, Chris Lake, Jamie Laughlin, Austin Jowell, Aaron Jowell, Arles Jowell and adopted granddaughter, Andi Fujiki; ten great grandchildren; along with a lifetime of wonderful friends both in Wyoming and Arizona, too numerous to mention, but forever treasured.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Leola “Happy” Orchard; and husbands, Jack Beauvais and Larry Baldwin.
