Glenn Ervin Medina, age 81, of Costa Mesa, California, passed away August 30, 2024, in Irvine, California when our Lord and savior reached out to receive another angel warrior. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the Morrill American Legion Post #10 (117 Center Avenue in Morrill, Nebraska), with Pastor Randy Brotzman officiating. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made in care of the family. The service will be live-streamed and recorded to Glenn’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.
Glenn was born March 22, 1943, on a farm outside of Minatare, Nebraska to Lyle and Lillie (Spencer) Medina. He mastered the game of football during his high school years and graduated in 1961.
He entered into the United States Air Force following his high school education. Glenn worked his way to Master Sergeant United States Air Force from 1961 to 1969 (active duty) then became Civil Service/Active Reserve from 1966 to 1989 before retiring. We are very proud of him and thank him profusely for his service. He was hired by McDonnell Douglas Aerospace/Boeing Aircraft Company from 1989 to 2011 before he once again retired. During his aerospace career he traveled the world and made many friends who looked up to him venerably as the very best in the industry.
Survivors include his children, Glenn Ervin Medina Jr. of Tennessee, Charles Nelson Medina of Kentucky, and Andrew James Medina of California; brothers, Stephen, Arthur, and Brian Medina all of Nebraska; sisters, Judith Builteman of Arizona, and Patricia (Jerry) Schaeffer of Nebraska; sister-in-law, Carol Medina of California; grandchildren, Meagan, Trichelle, Salena, and Sierra; along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Merage) Medina; parents, Lyle and Lillie Medina; and brothers, Bernard and Gary Medina.
Glenn earned great respect and much love from all his family and friends who will truly miss him.
