Kim Lee Olbricht

Kim Lee Olbricht, age 73, of rural Bayard, Nebraska, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025, in the comfort of his home. A celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the Pink Palace in McGrew, Nebraska. Kim will be laid to rest prior at 2:30 p.m. at Chimney Rock Cemetery near Bayard. Kim was born June 14, 1951, in Crawford, Nebraska to Frederick and Frances (Kreman) Olbricht. He completed his high school education and then dedicated many years of his life to a fulfilling career as a local truck driver.

Kim became the proud father of his three sons, Cade Jeremiah Olbricht, Joshua Caleb Olbricht, and Jared Lee Olbricht.

His journey through life led him to meet and marry his best friend and companion, Mary Louise Howard. The couple made their home together near Bayard.

Those who had the privilege to know Kim often described him as a very good man with a kind heart. His absence leaves a void in the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 39 years, Mary Olbricht; sons, Cade (Jessica) Olbricht and Joshua Olbricht; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Lennis (Nancy) Olbricht, Glen (Janet) Olbricht, and Cheryl (Rick) Collins.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Frances Olbricht; and son, Jared Olbricht.
