Larry Joe Yarnall, 72, of Scottsbluff, passed away on October 15, 2021 at his home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Pastor Jake Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff. Memorials may be made to the Panhandle Humane Society.
Larry was born on September 5, 1949 to Joe and Rosalyn (Thiel) Yarnall in Scottsbluff. He attended school in Scottsbluff, graduating in 1968. Larry attended Chadron State College and graduated with a teaching degree.
Larry married the love of his life, Diana Anthony, in August of 1969.
He taught school in Gering a few years before working for the railroad a short while. He then returned to teaching and taught at Scottsbluff. After many years of teaching and coaching, he once again gave that up and went to work for WNCC as the plant manager until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing and golfing before health issues limited his ventures.
Survivors include his sister, Carla (Greg) Enlow; brother, Mike (Paulette) Yarnall; father-in-law, Irvin Anthony; sister-in-law, Esther Benson; brothers-in-law, Eldon and Ivan Anthony; along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diana in 2015; and mother-in-law, Dona Anthony.
