M. Louise Colerick

M. Louise Colerick, age 97, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, with her loving daughters at her side. Louise chose cremation and requested no services be held. Memorials may be made be made to Team Ashtyn, a local childhood cancer organization. Louise was born February 26, 1928, in Bridgeport, Nebraska, the daughter of Bernard and Elsie (Riddle) Correll. Louise was the third of four children and the only daughter.

She taught school until she married Morris Roebuck, whom she met at church camp. To this union four children were born: Gwenn, Connie, Debi, and Randy. After her divorce, she met and married Jerry Colerick and together they managed L. B. Murphy stores in Chadron and Bridgeport.

Louise was a strong believer in God and could always be counted on to pray for anyone in need. She attended church at the Assembly of God in Bridgeport where her father ministered, then in Bayard, until she moved to Scottsbluff. She attended the Rock Church and Harvest Valley Church in Scottsbluff and learned how to Zoom services during COVID which continued until her passing.

She was quite a computer guru and could be found most days reading books and connecting with friends on Facebook. When she wasn’t online you would find her talking on the phone with her best friend, Carol Roberts.

Louise is survived by her brother, Gaylord (Lavone) Correll; daughters, Gwenn Correll (Scott LeVally), Connie (Bill) Bruhn, and Deborah (Vance) Fitts; son, Randy Roebuck; grandchildren, Darin (Gina) Schilling, Mistie (Travis) Wallace, Dan (Becky) Fitts, Andrew (Allana) Fitts, Amber Fitts (John Bertram), Aaron Bruhn; great-grandchildren, Zack Schilling, Devin (Xavier) Schilling, Tyler (Cailey) Wallace, Justin (Bailey) Wallace, Brandon (Kalie) Wallace, Erin, Ashlynn, and Colby Fitts, Bowen (Tristi) Fitts, Brianna Fitts (Rex Brist), and Courtney Fitts, and Naomi Reece (Kane Nelson) and Quinn Reece; great-great grandchildren, Keani, Korbin, Alyssa, Paige, Bryttin, and Blakely, Alexi and Capri, Wrayla, Hayes and Kambrie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents, Bernard and Elsie Correll; stepmother, Ione Correll; brother, Norman and his wife, Norma; and brother, Bernie and his wife, Irene.

She will be missed greatly by her family and friends until they meet again on the glory side.
