Mark Allen Martin, age 63, passed away unexpectedly in Oklahoma City, on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, with Pastor Tim Hebbert officiating. Mark was a beloved son born to Ervin and Shirly (Richard) Martin, on February 27, 1961, in Scottsbluff. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1979.
Mark married Janna (Neufeld) Martin on December 7, 1980, in Scottsbluff. They welcomed two children, Jason Martin born on June 29, 1981, and Jessica Martin born on February 8, 1986.
Mark owned Martin Livestock Hauling, in Scottsbluff, where he took great pleasure in customizing his semi-truck with various upgrades to reflect his personal style. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. After his grandson, Kyle Martin, was born on November 5, 2001, he lived for being the greatest Papa ever.
Mark and Janna relocated to Cordell, Oklahoma in 2010 where he worked as a truck driver for the oil industry. He really enjoyed working on projects in his garage, engaging in games with friends and family, and coordinating his yearly Christmas display.
Survivors include the love of his life, Janna Martin; son, Jason (Laura) Martin of Clarksville, Tennessee; daughter, Jessica (Jon Viola) Martin of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; grandsons, Kyle Martin and Enzo Trillizio of Clarksville, Tennessee; mother, Shirly Martin of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; brother, Gary (Deb) Martin of Mitchell, Nebraska; sister, Roxann (Andy) Grentz of Mitchell, Nebraska; brothers-in-law, Rodney (Kathy) Neufeld of Custer City, Oklahoma and Ronald (Koleen) Neufeld of Williston, Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Martin; sister, Pamala (Martin) Hershfeldt; in-laws, Clarence and Arlene Neufeld; and his grandparents.
Mark will be deeply missed and will live on in the hearts of those who loved him and those of who he impacted over the years.
