Patricia Marie Barrickman (née Fraass) of Scottsbluff, died at age 66 from Covid-19 complications on November 5, 2024, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be scheduled in 2025.
Patty was born January 7, 1958, to Bob and Marie Fraass in Lodgepole, Nebraska. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1976 and then lived in California for several years before returning to Scottsbluff, where she worked as an optician. She then lived in Omaha for 22 years before returning to Scottsbluff to care for her parents. Patty was known for her kindness and curiosity despite the difficult situations she faced in life and as a devoted stepmother to her first husband’s children.
Patty enjoyed rooting for the Huskers and Green Bay Packers, creating crafts and, in later years, discussing science and following politics.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, her twin sister Peggy (who died at birth), sister Betty and husband Mike Donley of Gering.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert Fraass of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Bruce Fraass (Mary) of Green Valley, Arizona, and her six nieces and nephews.
