Richard was born October 16, 1983, in Denver, Colorado to Kevin Liljegren and Catherine (Stackhouse).
He married Leila Mae Rice. The love for his wife was passionate and intense, creating an energy that could be felt by others around them.
He prided himself in his love for his children. Their ages range 22 to 3, and Richard tried his hardest to make the right decisions for them, even if it made them mad or upset. He gave his all at every job he ever worked, especially while working the dredge at DeWess Sand and Gravel. It was there he became, “Captain Dick” and the nickname stuck.
