Victor Escamilla, 80, of Scottsbluff, passed away peacefully at home with his wife of 53 years by his side on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, after a year-long battle with a rare and aggressive cancer. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Church of the Nazarene, 1305 West 20th Street, Scottsbluff with Pastor Cliff Transmeier officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park west of Scottsbluff with military honors by the Nebraska National Guard and American Legion Post #36. The service will be live-streamed and recorded to Victor’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com.

Victor was born on February 1, 1946, in Scottsbluff to Rudolph S. and Petra (Zavala) Escamilla. He grew up and received his education in Scottsbluff. Victor was a proud graduate of the Class of 1965. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army on January 19, 1966, and served honorably until December 11, 1967. Victor later joined the Nebraska National Guard and proudly served a total of 26 years.
Victor was united in marriage to Carolyn Flowers on December 9, 1972, in Scottsbluff. He worked for Magnolia Mobile Homes for 41 years. After his retirement, Victor always kept busy and started new projects.
His greatest joy in life was his family, especially watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Victor enjoyed watching the Nebraska Huskers and old western TV shows.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Melissa (Jeremy Bealer) Escamilla, Adric Escamilla, Laurie (Craig) Casados, Ryan (Brandy) Escamilla; seven grandchildren, Anthony Escamilla (Audree), Coby Escamilla, Jordyn (Katie Morrison) Casados, Carlos Casados, Nicholas Bealer, Katelyn Escamilla, Rudy Escamilla; two great-grandchildren, Ajay Escamilla and Ryker Escamilla; siblings, Rudy Escamilla, Jr., Chavela (Albert) Ramirez, Elias (Josie) Escamilla, Esther (Jim) Connelly, Gloria (Freddy) Dominguez, Terry Rodriguez, Bob (Mary) Escamilla along with numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Escamilla; and nephew, Nathaniel.
