William Wilmers

William Wilmers, 74, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Skyview in Bridgeport, Nebraska. Cremation has taken place in accordance with his wishes. William was born November 2, 1949, in Salem, Massachusetts to Joseph and Christina (Prochaska) Wilmers. He graduated from high school and then entered the US Army. William was honorably discharged in 1974.

He was united in marriage to Michele Ann Jones on May 18, 1998. 

William was employed as a security officer at casinos over the years.

He enjoyed camping and riding motorcycles. William was friendly and known for helping anyone in need. He was a fully committed member of life, living it to the fullest and doing good for others along the way. He took everyone into his heart. The time he spent with his two daughters and grandchildren was very special to him.

Survivors include his wife, Michele Wilmers; brother, Steven Burrell; daughters, Tracie Higdon and Stacie Cunningham; great grandchildren, Hayden, Haylie-Mae, and Miracle; along with other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepson, DJ (pictured).
